Bill Wolfe

Wolfe, Bill

"Bill Wolfe is a native of Chattanooge, Tennessee. As a child in school, his main interest centered around art. From grammer school through high school his talent grew to the point of selling numerous works while still in school. (During this time Bill and his family made frequent trips, to visit relatives that lived in a small rural farming community, called Georgetown, Tennessee.) After leaving high school, he enrolled in a technical school, majoring in data processing, and while attending Bill cartooned and did most of the art work for the school paper. Unsatisfied and confused as to what vocation to follow, he quit school and began working in carious fields. Although working at various jobs, Bill always seemed to find time to paint. After marrying and settling down he began painting on a more regular basis. He began entering various local art shows in which he has won numerous honors and awards. In the fall of 1975, Bill released his first print, Country Road, which is just one of 4 prints he has dedicated to Georgetown, Tennessee, as a tribute to this rural type of life and its people. His experience and skill can easily be recognized in each painting, by the extreme amount of detail work he projects in each of his paintings to achieve the highest degree of realism. The public is already recognizing Bill's talent, reflected in the high degree of demand for his prints. Bill's goal in each painting, is to convey a mood or a feeling to the viewer, that he can relate to and never forget."
