A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Bruce Higdon served 10 years in the Army where he began his cartooning career for The Army Times Publishing Co. Returning to Murfreesboro in 1980, Mr. Higdon now draws cartoons for 15 newspapers and magazines. He teaches cartooning at Middle Tennessee State University, children's drawings and painting classes for the local Recreation Dept., and is employed by WTVF Television Station in Nashville as their courtroom cartoonist. Mr. Higdon is an established artist in the Murfreesboro community and was voted Germany's 1982 Artist of the Year.
