Linda Daniels

Daniels, Linda

"Linda Daniels was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began to draw at an early age, and immediately dreamt of becoming an artist. She had hoped to attend art school, but the funds weren't there. Daniels moved to Oklahoma City to work in advertising and display. In the fall of 1983, she and her husband left the city for the hills of northeastern Oklahoma. She began experimenting with pencil, pastel, watercolor, gouache, and finally chose acrylics. Since Linda primarily paints animals, she became known as a wildlife artist. A few years later, a publisher asked her to do a painting of dogs and it changed her life. ""As I worked on this concept, I dug deeper into the emotional base of dogs and came to understand that they have the same emotions we do!"" It is clear that Linda loves and respects all life-- and paints it with deep appreciation. "
