"Larry Dodson has traveled throughout the South sketching, drawing, and marking photographs. He knows his subjects, and he paints them as he knows them.
Larry grew up in the surroundings which are portrayed in his art. He is a native of Trenton, a North Georgia community. His love for a lifestyle quickly disappearing can be felt when viewing his art.
The success of Larry's art came almost overnight. ""Springtime in Ellijay,"" his first print sold out quickly, and all his successive prints were immediate ""sellouts.""
Having had no formal art training, Larry's style and technique began to develop while he was still in school. The demand for his original art increased to a point where limited edition prints began to be published from his works. Currently there are more than one hundred and fifty of his original works of art in private collections throughout the south.
Many feel his rise to fame remarkable. The ""sold out"" prints attest to the fact that Larry is one of the South's fine artists."
