Born in Aschaffenburg, Ritter-Scherer graduated high school in 1981 and started working for designers. There were private lessons at Kunst undZeit in Wiesbaden. Ritter-Scherer worked as an independent textile designer in 1985 and had work shown at fairs in Bologna, Basel, Frankfurt, Munchen, and Stuttgart. Her private exhibitions were held in Paris, Cologne, Frankfurt, and New York, with designs of paintings on silk, jewelry, clothing, and architectural accessories. Ritter-Scherer lives and works in Germany.
