Steve Hanks graduated from the California college of Arts and Crafts in Oakland. He has won several awards and honors including being ranked among U.S. ART's top 15 artists from 1994 to 1998. He began publishing his work in 1973 and continues to paint numerous, beautiful works that reflect a mastery of form and an intricate involvement with light. Highly detailed and realistic, his watercolors urge the viewer to become a part of the creative process. Today, Hanks currently resides with his wife and three children in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
